چکیده
Abstract An overdenture is a denture supported partly by soft tissues and retained teeth or implants. Magnetic tooth-retained overdentures are used to increase support, retention, stability but also prevent alveolar ridge resorption. attachments the retention of partial complete dentures regardless path insertion and, in addition, can be for abutment with periodontal disease. This paper discusses two oral rehabilitation cases total overdenture.

Magnet retained Overdenture : A case report
Recent advances in dentistry have enabled different treatment options in prosthetic dentistry, one of them is in relation to magnets which are available in small size and with strong attractive force. This magnets can be used for overdenture attachments which increases the stability of denture and reduces the lateral forces on abutment tooth. Rationale for tooth supported overdenture are to pre...
متن کاملSurgical and prosthetic planning for a two-implant-retained mandibular overdenture: a clinical report.
A 2-implant-retained mandibular overdenture is considered by some to be the standard of care for mandibular edentulism. Compared to a conventional complete denture, an implant-retained overdenture requires more thorough planning. Careful consideration is necessary regarding the 3-dimensional orientation of the implants to ensure adequate horizontal and vertical space for prosthetic components. ...
متن کاملStud Attachment Retained Mandibular Overdenture - A Case Report
Utilizing natural teeth to enhance support for prosthesis is not new in prosthodontics. Few teeth can be conserved in compromised edentulous ridge patients and be used to provide support to the prosthesis. The use of stud attachments allows the ability to the clinician to improve the retention of the prosthesis, thus allowing the patient to experience better comfort.
متن کاملMagnet-Retained Two-Mini-Implant Overdenture: Clinical and Mechanical Consideration
Two-implant overdentures have become the accepted treatment for restoring mandibular edentulism. The dimensions of regular implants sometimes limit their use, such as in the case of narrow ridges. Mini-implants with reduced diameters (less than 3.0 mm) enable insertion into narrow ridges. A magnet-retained two-mini-implant overdenture system was developed and is described in this paper. Additio...
متن کاملFabrication of a Maxillary Implant Retained Overdenture Using an Existing Subperiostal Implant: A Clinical Report
Subperiosteal implants used to be prescribed to partially and fully edentulous patients to restore occlusion and esthetics prior to the emergence of the more successful endosseous implants that are used today. Because subperiosteal implants had a high incidence of failure, difficulty of placement, and post-operative complications, the use of subperiosteal implants declined significantly. Howeve...
